Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 4: deep, bright and powerful

The Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 4 has a body made of European ash that's relatively lightweight and produces a full sound with deep bass and bright trebles. The neck is made of Canadian maple and is attached to the body using 6 bolts for optimal stability and sound transference. For a cleaner look, there are no position markers on the 24-fret rosewood fretboard. Two powerful humbucker pickups are responsible for delivering the sound to your amp and there's a mini switch you can use to let them function as single-coils giving you even more versatility. The bass also features an active 3-band EQ that can be switched off when you prefer a passive sound.

A modern bass guitar

Modern features include the zero fret in front of the string nut which ensures that open strings sound exactly the same as fretted ones when they're played. The ability to adjust the bridge saddles in three different ways is another handy feature for highly accurate intonation, string height adjustment and even the distance between the strings. The saddles are lockable too for extra stability which gives the bass a tighter, more direct sound. Finally, this Sandberg bass has sealed, self-lubricating machine heads to ensure excellent tuning stability.
